I'v also got a couple of my personal pieces that have only been worn a couple of times and are still in gorgeous condition. I've put them up on the For Sale page and labelled them as pre-loved.  They are posted on a couple sites, but I will make sure I update them on here if they sell off another site.  Give me a message or feel free to email me if anyone's interested in any pieces.

Recently finished this gorgeous Navy Leather and Vintage Straw boater. Didn't last long enough for me to put up on the For Sale page before it got snapped up, but that's ok with me! Had to share it anyway. It feels like forever since I've blocked and created a brimmed hat of any sort but I'm really happy with how it turned out.   A year ago no one wanted anything but fascinators and small hats, the way the trends move never ceases to amaze me.

Not to say small hats aren't still on trend. I'm loving working with the leather in flowers and trimmed wire. Putting a spin on the crowns and halos that are so popular at the moment, for those who are more comfortable with a base, I've done a couple of button crowns.  The first is mine and the black one is a custom order that was placed from someone off that style.

  I don't like to recreate any one design.  It takes away from a persons individuality and the uniqueness of my art.  It's not a custom if you see someone walking around with a duplicate. So if you see something you like on my page I'm more than willing to design something around that style, but adding a twist to make it unique.

Just finished this simple but time consuming piece. I think it was worth it! The structured design took a little bit to block together but the end product ended up pretty striking. Sometimes simple can make the biggest statement. Head over to the FOR SALE page for details.

Just finished this standout piece! Not a wallflower this one!! It's funny how sometimes you start out attempting one thing and instead of throwing it in the corner and giving up in defeat, another idea just hits you. The flourish atop this beauty started in an attempt to try something different with a bias brim. Never liked headbands as a rule as they gave me a headache, every time, without fail. But these are so comfy I don't realise I'm wearing anything! Had some vintage inspired roses that I've been wanting to use for a while, but hadn't had any orders to suit. So I claimed them for my own! Had quite a few compliments on the finished product and it was so easy to wear.  Motivated by how comfortable and easy it was, I thought I'd go again with a simple and elegant Black and White design. Love it when a custom order comes together! Its sometimes hard to envision the outfit from a photo of the fabric you are trying to match. So when the client comes back with an extremely happy response to the finished product and sends photos of the complete matching outfit, it makes it all worthwhile.  Thanks Lisa for the positive feedback of all the compliments you received!! 💖

Love making these little leather flowers! They take a bit of time to cut out but look pretty cute when they're completed.  This all leather mini pillbox sits on a wide satin covered headband with five handmade black and white leather flowers and is super comfy to wear. Had an order for something I haven't done a lot of...a Fascinator on a headband. Not my traditional work but pretty happy with how it finished up. And more to the point, the client was rapped!

                                   

And I finally got to work with my new two piece block last week. Rather than go for the traditional design I decided to separate the two and make it a little more interesting. It took a lot of hours (over 5 in total😑) to block and stitch but I think it was worth it. Click on the For Sale tab for details

Having Fun with Leather

Just finished this Navy Leather Button.  Thought I'd try to put a little spin on the boring old button shape and add a bit of interest to the design with some detail.  Starting with a couple of pleats worked in while blocking the base for this one, I'm keen to try and add a bit more sculpture and flair to each new piece.  Love thinking outside the box and stretching the perimeters of what I've got to work with!  Click on For Sale page for more details of this navy button.
